Understanding Outlier Performance Categories
Entry Return: The return percentage when the stock first became an outlier - indicating the initial momentum strength.
Current Return: The present return percentage - showing how the outlier has performed since identification.
Days: The number of consecutive days the stock has remained in outlier status - indicating persistence of the extreme momentum behavior.
Performance Categories:
- • Strong Continuation: Outliers maintaining or accelerating their momentum trend
- • Consolidation Strength: Outliers showing stability with minor fluctuations
- • Moderate Retracement: Outliers experiencing partial pullback while maintaining direction
- • Significant Weakness: Outliers displaying notable deterioration from entry levels
- • Complete Failure: Outliers that have reversed entirely from their initial trend
